Pointless Quilter

Even with this being the crappiest year, I have surprised myself on how much I did get done.  I had 13 items on my 2019 Goals list and I was able to finish 8 of them.  (Orange Jamestown Landing, Good Fortune BH Mystery) Black/Tan Idol quilt, Guild mystery, Moda Blockhead, Consignment Blue quilt, Trick or Treat, Material Girl Challenge-curved leaves)  Cross Stitching has been added to my hobby list which was a blessing to have since I spent a lot of time sitting in a hospital and rehab with my dad.  So without any further ado... The Quilts... The Cross Stitching... The Common Thread Quilt Guild Annual Boutique Items (there were more I just didn't take pictures of everything this year. And the 2019 Ornament Exchange... Tomorrow I'll work on my goals for 2020.  Since my friendship group is having a list of WIPS to work on it shouldn't take me that long for the quilts.  I also have kitted up about 13 new cross stitch patterns so I'll share those

I'm late posting this but at least I'm getting it done before Christmas. My friendship group, Material Girls, has an annual challenge.  This year it was we had to piece curves.  When we chose the challenge I knew exactly what I wanted to do.  I posted mine a couple posts ago, but just in case you missed it, here is my quilt. It's been kind of  slow month.  My machine (Bernina 750) has been in the shop for the past two weeks so not a whole lot of quilting going on.  But I did finish a cross stitch piece.  It's a Prairie Schooler Santa.  See photo above.  This is the one with the Sewing Machine.  I also have the pattern with a quilt and that will be the next one I work on.  They are pretty easy patterns and they use mostly the same DMC colors so they all coordinate.  They have an annual Santa.  The one with the sheep is from this year and the sewing machine one is from a previous year. As far as the Bonnie Hunter 2019/2020 mystery Frolic goes, I was caught up until yesterday.  Now that my machine will be back (today) I can work on yesterday's clues.  I don't have pictures of my finished Clue 1 & 2 but here are pictures of the pieces I needed to make those clues.  I'm trying to do mine in Fall colors.  It will be dark (not a lot of contrast) but I'm okay with it.  I wanted t

With my new job I actually am starting at the same time I used to leave for my old job.  Who knew sunrises were so pretty.  I'm a night owl so this has been quite the adjustment for me.  And as promised, some quilt finishes. Trick or Treat was a block of the month, pre-cut with the fusible already on it from Shabby Fabrics.  I did zig zag with coordinating threads around all the pieces and then quilted it.  Some of it glows in the dark.  I love this and can't wait to hang it next year. And this is my Material Girls (my friendship group) annual challenge quilt.  We were challenged to piece curves.  I love fall so when I saw this in Sew Kind of Wonderful's mini book, I knew I had to make it.  I had a bunch of fall color solids and wanted a light blue background and it's another of my fall favorites.  My cousin Barbara, who was very instrumental in helping me get home health care for my dad, has a set of twin great grandchildren.  So to thank her I made t
