2013 Quilts in Review

I like doing this at the end of each year.  It reminds me that I did more than I remember! Not a lot done from my resolution list.  But again, I'm okay with that. Thanks for looking.

Celtic Solstice Update

Clue 1 of Bonnie Hunter's Celtic Solstice Mystery Quilt  is done.  Yea me.  For Clue 2 I had 63 (of 244) blocks done but realized after I posted last that I had them wrong so I had to undo 63 middle seams, turn them around an resew them.  They are horrible.  When I worked on the rest (which I have the background color on, I just need to sew the black squares on and sew the 2 halves together) I sewed the squares on differently that I think worked better for me.  I tried moving my needle over but it was too much for me.   AND....I have all my 488 half square triangles sewn - they just need the paper torn off and pressed and then I need 60 more pinwheels to make.  I will work on the paper tearing and pressing this next week while visiting with family. I will try to catch up after Christmas. Off to wrap more presents.  Thanks for looking!

Bonnie Hunter Part 2

I probably won't get all of part two done before the next clue on Friday but I do have it all cut and mostly marked and I finished two blocks to see how they'll look.  Here's a link Bonnie Hunter of Quiltville fame's mystery.   http://quiltville.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2013-12-10T07:00:00-05:00&max-results=2 Hopefully I'll get all my Christmas projects done by the weekend so I can try to catch up between my baking. (That's on my schedule for this weekend.). Thanks for looking. Posted with Blogsy

Bonnie Hunter's Celtic Solstice Mystery - Clue 1 done

Yea!  Took hours to cut and even more to sew.  I can't wait to see how this quilt will progress. Here they are all cut and ready to go. Here they are - 240 neutral centers and 140 orange centers There is a board on Facebook (that is closed) for people who are participating in this mystery and it's fun to see the progress of other people all around the world also doing this mystery. I am making mine with Halloween colors and it will be a king sized quilt.  I will definitely be sending this baby out to be quilted. Now off to make some more Christmas gifts.  Thanks for looking.
