Material Girls Annual Challenge Reveal

Today the Material Girls, the friendship group I belong to, revealed this years' challenge quilts.  The challenge this year was Stack 'n Whack.  I finished mine a few months ago and posted it a few posts back.
The border fabric was my stack 'n whack fabric which I cut into circles and appliqued down.

Barbara Brown hasn't finished hers but did have a picture of it on her design wall.

And here's a group shot of us ladies.
We missed those who couldn't make it but are very thankful for those who traveled far to be with us.

Our next years challenge is Road Trip.  It could be using a block with a states name, fabric from a trip, or a quilt about a trip or a place.  Pretty broad themed but should be fun.  I have some ideas but we'll see if any of those work.

Our guild also had their holiday party.  I won three baskets in the raffle.  One was 3 jams in a little cute basket, the other were some antique bow tie blocks and the third was a pottery pin cushion shaped like a spool of thread.  It's awesome.

I made a basket with a Kaffe Fasset book and fabric, slippers, and some other fun stuff.  Forgot to take a picture but I put tickets in it myself so I could win it back.

If I don't get back to the blog before Christmas, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.

Thanks for looking.
