I did finish and am able to show this little linen quilt. I don't know where the linen came from - maybe a thrift shop. But while at Cindy Needhams design class I took advantage of her stencil collection and marked this baby.
You can't see but I quilted the flowers in the middle and feathers in the border with an aqua thread so it really stands out. The rest was done in Aurifils clear thread which I really liked working with.
And yea! I caught up on my Farmer's Wife quilt. I have 54 blocks done.
Blocks 28-36 |
Blocks 37-45 |
Blocks 46-54 |
And this is a mock up of the blocks I have done and how I want to sash it.
I have started and want to finish this weekend the Loose Threads quote quilt. And I started cutting a quilt I want to have done for Christmas. It's not a tough pattern (it's one I've made before too) and shouldn't take me too long to make. It's all neutrals and should be very pretty when done.
Thanks for looking.
That farmer's wife quilt is going to be big! Beautiful linen.
ReplyDeleteYou have really been putting the pedal to the metal. Wow! Your linen quilt is exquisite. I am still liking those red and white fabrics for your Farmer's Wife blocks. Really gives some good contrast.
ReplyDeleteI love your little linen quilt - so pretty and such a lot of work.
ReplyDeleteLovely and inspirational, as always. :)
