Loose Thread projects

My art friendship group, Loose Threads, met last week to reveal our "frame" projects.  As I mentioned before, we are working through the book Fabric Embellishing, The basics and beyond and last month Grace demonstrated how to make frames and our job is to make a small quilt using the technique and using the theme word.  I can't remember what the word was for the life of me.  Something like serene.  Anyway, here's a picture of all our pieces.  Anna's windows were made with plastic with fish in them.  It was very neat.  Grace's is to be used for pins that you collect at quilt shows or whatever show.  Mine was a picture from our Alaskan cruise.  The "curtain" fabric was fabric I purchased on the trip, it's their state flower fabric.  Sara's was just spectacular and Karen's was so detailed and you wouldn't believe the threads she used for it.
These are the ribbons for Sara's birthday ribbon quilt.  Not put together yet because we were waiting for one more piece.
Sorry for the poor photo quality.  They were taken with my cell phone which isn't the best quality.
Thanks for looking.
