A finish and BOM block done

I decided to work on my Pat Sloan's Globetrotting block 7 since I didn't want to start another project last night.
Last month I noticed that mine was looking really blue so I thought I'd make this months block redder.

And then I finished a very special project that I can't show the whole thing because it's a surprise gift for someone.  But here's the center.  The whole quilt it quilted and bound - just needs a label.

I tried to take better pictures so I can show all the quilting I did, but it just wasn't going to show.

I started working on my Farmer's Wife quilt today.  I'm working on the border now as the center is all done.  This will take me a while though.  I can't wait to see it finished.

We had a very quiet 4th of July.  We have 3 dogs, one of which is very afraid of fireworks.  So we gave him a Benedryl and hugged him all night while he just shook.  And I'm dealing with another very naughty little girl dog who thinks peeing on my bed is an acceptable place.  She's done it twice this past week.  Never before so I'm not sure if it's the fireworks that are scaring her and that's why she's doing it.  The neighbors have been making noise all week.  We'll see when all this is over.  I'm going to not make the bed until bedtime so she won't do it again.  The joys of pet ownership.

Thanks for looking.

  1. The new block looks great. I think you succeeded in getting just the right amount of red in it.

  3. both RW&B quklts are looking good! I can hardly wait to see the finished one in person.
Hopefully, Needle will settle down after the fireworks are over.
    Hope your 4th was spectacular.
