"We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out." Ray Bradbury
That was the quote we had for our challenge. We had two months to come up with something. Sitting on the table when we got to Graces was this lovely piece. I would say it belongs to Sara but Karen, Barbara and Anna said they might just 'accidentally' bring it home.
Dimension was the theme tonight. Look what Karen did. (It's not finished yet.)
Then Anna made this. Her 'tea bag' was actually a picture of all her grand kids, her cup of joy
Barbara Sawyer didn't make a quilt but made a box to fill with all her treasures.
Grace tried a new technique. She tried several methods of printing on fabrics. Some with good results, some not so good. Her original idea did work but came up with this beaut. Her creative prompt words.
Janice and I had similar ideas but we executed it differently. I actually was going to piece mine too but since I've taken two painting on fabric classes in the past six months I ended up painting mine. Here is Janice's piece. She still has to quilt it and decide if she wants borders or not.
Again here is mine. It's very small about 8x10 and its painted then quilted.
Thanks for looking.
