Finished quilt and other projects

I thought I had posted these already but I guess that was just on Facebook.  Anyway, I finished my On Ringo Lake quilt.  I just did an all over meander to quilt it.  I didn't spend a lot of time custom quilting it as it was a pretty busy pieced quilt.  So here it is in all it's glory.

I'm really happy with this quilt.  I love the colors.

And remember on my retreat over the new years?  And I played with my friends 10 needle embroidery machine.  Well I used those three fall blocks and made this little runner.

When I got home from her house and looked at my fall fabrics I was so happy to see this fabric - it goes perfect with the designs.

I also took a guild class where we made these Hawaiian bags.  They are huge and will hold a few large quilts - perfect for taking show and tell to guild and a great bag for quilt show shopping.  I have one already but the handles were wearing out since I've used it for years.

And over the past month, I also purchased myself a 10 needle embroidery machine.  I got the Babylock Valiant.  I'm usually a Bernina girl but the local Babylock store had a deal I couldn't pass up (0% financing too).  So I need to practice and I made these little pillows.  I had the pillow made already I just needed to add the designs - so they are a bit off centered - I need to learn how to use the camera to center still.

The embroidery designs are from OESD and from the Sweetheart Glitz collection.  Yes, there are crystals on those pillows.

And of course, a few posts ago I remembered that I hadn't posted my friendship group challenge quilt from 2017.  Travel was the theme.  Here's the front and back.  Even if I didn't have a license plate from the city and/or state I still put beads on all the places I've been.

Here's the US side.

and here is the world side.  The only places I've been outside the US has been Mexico, Canada and the Bahamas.

Well that's all for now.  Thank you for looking.

  1. You're off to a great start.
You're going to enjoy the 10-needle. It's nice to have an embroidery machine always ready to go. I find I do more embroidery.

  2. Ringo Lake!! Good for you. I have not got time to make Bonnie's quilts. I sure enjoy seeing them, though! Good job!
