Monthly BOM Update and Bonnie Hunter Mystery has begun

Bonnie Hunter, from  Quiltville - Allietare Mystery ,  annual mystery has begun.  She always posts the first clue on the Friday after Thanksgiving (link above).  She gave the color and fabric requirements a few weeks ago so we all had time to gather our fabrics from our stash or the stores.  I finished the first clue today - 294-- 1.5" finished half-square triangles.  I also finished this past week or so my Block of the Month blocks/pillows.  Here they are. Fat Quarter Shops Designer Mystery Block Fat Quarter Shop's Snapshot Block My guilds December Block of the Month Shabby Fabrics Pillow of the Month We had a little holiday celebration with my step-daughter and her hubby and kids, my in-laws and my hubby and I.  It was a quick trip just to see them really and have a little thanksgiving dinner.  I got to play with my grandkids.  It took a while for Dylan to warm up to me but once she did she was a non- stop chat...

Feeling the Love-from table toppers to quilt friends.

This is a real early Valentine table topper.  A friend wanted to make these toppers together to figure it all out so I decided to make one in some Valentine fat quarters that I had on hand.  Once you figure out the directions it was pretty easy and went together quickly. I go to this monthly thing at the local quilt store called Party Party Party (or cut throat quilters to some)- we start about 6 pm and sew until 12-2am.  A couple months ago, the owner decided that we were all going to make this basket for another person in our group.  We drew names.  I got a lady who is very particular - a perfectionist which made me very nervous.  (This lady will throw away an applique block because she doesn't like a color she used.)  I finally finished mine and it was given to her last week.  I have no idea what she thought of it--I wasn't there.  I don't want to know.  But it's done.  You can see the pink one my friend Elaine made for me...
