June BOM Updates

Finished all my BOM's for June.  The first one done was the Fat Quarter Shops block 1 of the 2014 Designer Mystery quilt - I am going to try to make 2 of each block each month.   Then I worked on the Pat Sloan Globetrotting Block of the Month. I think its looking kind of blue - need to add more red or use red to sash. And last but not least, the final two blocks for the fall BOM.  All that's left (all ha ha) is the applique center and then putting it all together and the quilting.  Blocks 11 & 12 Blocks 1-12  It will be awhile before I get to finishing this one.  I already have one top to quilt and I hope to have the top of my Farmer's Wife quilt top done soon too.  I'm about 1/2 way done putting that top together.   Thanks for looking.

FQS Designer Mystery BOM and my latest Loose Threads piece

And by FQS I mean the 2013/2014 Fat Quarter Shop Designer Mystery Block of the Month program.  I spent quite a bit of time quilting this.  Decided to not do an all over design and custom quilted the whole thing. I quilted the whole thing on my new Bernina 750 QE.  I had no problems.  I used bottom line in the bobbin and So Fine on the top.  Sewed like a charm.  I marked a lot of the top with a Frixion pen.  I used a cherry template on the border.  (The fabric has cherries on it.)  It's all made from Fig Tree Quilt material. I also spend all Friday night embroidering labels.  It went pretty smoothly.  I think they will need to adjust my thread cutter.  It seems to mess up the bobbin threads or is pulling all the top thread under and knotting it after it is used every couple times.  It could also be a tension thing.  Although I did adjust the tension during the embroidery and it still did it.  Who kno...
