My youngest nephew is going to go to Norway this year through Kent International Athlete Ambassadors to play soccer. He will be staying with a family while there and I figured he would need to give them a hostess gift and offered to make a little table topper for him to give them. Norway's national colors are red, white and blue and of course I backed this little baby with soccer fabric. I still haven't done the label yet, but he won't be leaving until later this year and I need him to name the quilt. So excited for him. Here's a little info on what his trip is about.
In conjunction with the City of Kent Sister City Association (Norway Committee), the KYSA International Athlete Ambassador Program is designed to help foster international relationships between sister cities Kent, Washington and the Sunnfjord area in Norway. The vehicle for this is youth soccer.
I found this pattern called Scrap Jar Stars by Gigi's Thimble. And yes, I found all the red, white and blue fabric in my scrap stash.
Thanks for looking.
Wow, love that Barb. My brother had an exchange student from Finland for 9 mo this year. Always an experience for young boys!
