2025 Quilting Review

 It was a good year for me - but not so much in quilting.  I got a lot done but not like I used to do many years ago.  I am so surprised how much I got done when I worked full time.  How did I do it? So here are the quilt finishes for this year.  Bonnie Hunter Mystery 2024/25 Diamond Gardens Laundry Basket Blizard (This was a pre-cut kit--way to go with all these angles) Fig Tree Mystery Hodge Podge (This was a kit) A simple 5" square quilt with chenille to make it look like plaid.  Flower Girl quilt Our pastor and his wife had a baby boy this year and they named him Judah.  Thought this was a cute quilt for him. A quilt that me and the two girls that I teach to sew made for our churches women's Christmas coffee. A signature quilt I made for a dear friend Kathy Eckman who moved away. 2022 Year in Review

 You never know how much you accomplish until you have to put the pictures together for the year end review for your blog.  I'm happy to report I had a good year.   To make the post less picture heavy I put 9 projects per page and kind of sort of sorted them by type.  Quilting, Machine Embroidery and Cross Stitch.  I know I missed a couple embroidery projects so I'll post them at the end.  I will also do a WIP parade on a separate post, time permitting.  Thank you for looking. On a personal note, I'm still loving it here in Texas.  Had a great Christmas with my sister and her kids and grandkids and her husband's family as well.  I had a visit from my friend Deolinda at the beginning of December and we had a good time.  She's planning on moving to Texas.  She's coming back in April to dog sit and look actively for a place.   Again, thank you for looking at my blog.  I know I don't post as much as I should.  R...

2020 Recap and 2021 goals (maybe)

 Here is my 2020 Goal list of quilt.  I updated in red.  It was not a good quilting year for me. ow sleeves I started 2 years ago.  (February) 1.  Finish the remaining 9 of the 12  pillow sleeves I started 2 years ago for the boutique. Nope - didn't even touch them. 2.  Orca Bay (Started about 3 or 4 years ago)  Top finished in November. 3.  Straits of Mackinac (Green & White)    Haven't touched it since the class in the summer of 2019. 4.  Summer Swoon 16  - Finished. 5.  Boutique Items -  Due to Covid, our boutique was cancelled for 2020 so I didn't bother. 6.  Frolic - Finished 7.  Aqua/White Circle of Illusion - Nope - don't even know where it is at the moment. 8.  Block of the Year Christmas Applique - I know I worked on one for a day at Debbies. 9.  Fall Runner for Brenda - Finished but she wanted a round runner so I made and will donate to boutique next year. 10.  Snowman ...
