2023 Review of other Crafts

Not only did I Quilt and cross stitch this past year, but I attempted some other crafts.  Some of the things I'm going to show will be some items that I didn't make but that I helped or taught others to make.  I also belong to a craft group that meets once a month and there are a few fun things for that.  And others items are just things I thought I'd try. Craft Group - it's a group of about 14 ladies from my sisters neighborhood (mostly) and we meet once a month and have a great lunch and then do a fun craft.  Here are the crafts I made this year through them.  I wasn't able to make it to all of them so there won't be 12 crafts. I made this apron for one of my craft group friends who had a friend who became a master gardener (I just did the embroidery.) I embroidered on these aprons for us food service ladies for Adventure Club at church. I went to a retreat in the fall with my friend Beth Rhodes and made everyone a little Halloween treat bag. 2022 Year in Review

You never know how much you accomplish until you have to put the pictures together for the year end review for your blog.  I'm happy to report I had a good year.   To make the post less picture heavy I put 9 projects per page and kind of sort of sorted them by type.  Quilting, Machine Embroidery and Cross Stitch.  I know I missed a couple embroidery projects so I'll post them at the end.  I will also do a WIP parade on a separate post, time permitting.  Thank you for looking. On a personal note, I'm still loving it here in Texas.  Had a great Christmas with my sister and her kids and grandkids and her husband's family as well.  I had a visit from my friend Deolinda at the beginning of December and we had a good time.  She's planning on moving to Texas.  She's coming back in April to dog sit and look actively for a place.   Again, thank you for looking at my blog.  I know I don't post as much as I should.  R...

Some quilt finishes and updates (picture heavy)

Wow - I haven't blogged since April, hence the picture heavy mention in the title.  I keep thinking about it but then...   I have been keeping busy with life in general, quilting, cross stitching, decorating, keeping out of the heat.  I also took a quick trip to California to see my friends and check up on my father-in-law.  But you aren't here to hear about all that, you want to see some finished (or semi-finished) products.   First, quilt finishes. Wonky Log Cabin - used some Amish fabric my mom bought me years ago and some solids from my stash. Made this for my friend Anna.  She makes so much for others, I thought I'd make her something. Obviously to honor my move to Texas! Charity quilt Charity Quilt Vintage Santa For the Common Threads Quilt guild challenge in 2022.  Blocks given to me by Charlotte Rogers and I made a runner with the best of the blocks in the pack. Granny Squared using Fig Tree Stitched fabrics. For our pastor and ...
